WHY IS IMPORTANT?
Everyone is understandably afraid of experiencing the pain caused by severe toothache. A common procedure to treat this is root canal therapy, where an inflamed or infected nerve inside a decayed or diseased tooth that causes this pain is removed. Root canal treatment is designed to save the tooth, stop the pain from increasing, and prevent the infection from spreading to your other teeth.
Symptoms that many people may feel include a dull throbbing or continuous pain, swelling along the gum line, being sensitive to hot, cold, and/or sweet foods and drinks, or having difficulty biting. If these symptoms are left untreated, they will cause more throbbing and create an abscess.
